Southern Nazarene University

Founded in 1899, Southern Nazarene University stands as the oldest Nazarene University with a rich history of dedication and service to the mission of transforming lives, through higher education in Christ-centered community. For 112 years SNU has remained committed to inspiring belief in students, as we model grace, pursue truth and practice discipleship together; building students up to think with clarity, act with integrity and serve with purpose.

As an SNU student, you'll have many opportunities to share with people what you're learning in a classroom setting—whether it's in a mission trip to Haiti, South Africa or within your own community. With more than 25,000 alumni currently serving throughout the world, SNU continues to touch the lives of people with the Gospel of Christ. SNU currently offers Undergraduate as well as Professional and Graduate options within the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas, while expanding our online curriculum.

SNU is located on a 40-acre plot in the Oklahoma City Metro. From the historic Route 66 that runs right in front of camps, to the vibrant energy of Bricktown and the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the city's lively entertainment district, you'll find that Oklahoma City has much to offer.

Financial Aid

SNU strives to be the most affordable choice for both Nazarene and non-Nazarene students, seeking to continue their education within a Christian community. From the competitive Academic scholarships, to the number of generous talent based awards (Athletic and Music), as well as the truly distinctive Ministerial Internship program (totaling an equivalent of two years free tuition), you'll find that your scholarship dollars will go further to help fund your education. Located in one of the safest economic environments, SNU is blessed to see continued expansion of programs and facilities through the support of Alumni and Endowed scholarships—the Hills Residence Hall was opened in the Spring of 2011 and serves as a great example of the Transforming Vision of the continued renovation of the SNU campus.
